OSCAR (Out of School Care & Recreation)
Playtopia is the perfect place to be after a long day at school. Set in a safe and stimulating environment kids get to play, socialize and learn while having fun on our themed After School Programme.
We are CYF’s (Child, Youth & Family) approved OSCAR providers and we take our responsibilities seriously. We hire staff we trust with our own children who are trained, experienced and full of exciting ideas and energy.
Your child will be collected from school, provided with a nutritious and varied afternoon tea, have supervised play on our cool equipment, and invited to join in organised planned activities and supervised homework.

A typical day on the Playtopia After School Programme involves;
- 15:00—15:30 Your child is collected from school
- 15:30—15:45 Supervised play with friends on our cool equipment
- 15:45—16:00 Roll call and afternoon tea
- 16:00—16:10 Super kids development time (supervised reading or homework)
- 16:10 – 17:00 Fun themed activities and games (eg. Mad Science included; gloop and slime, rubber bones, blue celery, Mentos Volcano’s)
- 17:00 – 18:00 Supervised play until home time.

Cost
- $80 per week (Full Time—Monday to Friday)
- $18 per day (Part Time—Less than 4 days per week)
- Hourly rates available to those that qualify (no subsidies)
WINZ Subsidies
If you have 1 child and earn less than $1486 per week you may be entitled to subsidized childcare for your child. This can be up to $58 per week, per child for the After School Programme and possibly Free for School Holidays. Give Work & Income a call on 0800 559 009 to discuss your entitlements.
